Transport

Parent-Run school buses:

There are 2 bus organisations, namely BlocBus and Culham Bus Club.
These two organisations are run by parents independently from school and both offer different routes.

If you would like to enquire about routes, price and availability, please get in touch with them directly:

The school assists children up to year 3 get onto the right bus in the afternoon, and therefore we require that parents inform us once they have received confirmation of a space on the bus for their child. Please note, the bus organisers do not inform us. It is the parents responsibility to update the school. Please email bus@europaschool.uk.

Steps for transport:
1 – email CBC or BlocBus for enquiries
2 – confirm your child’s place is booked
3 – let us know which days and which bus your child will be taking

Considerations

Please make sure your child is mature enough to be on the bus.
The bus driver is the only monitor.
The children have to stay in their seat with a seat-belt on and follow the driver’s instructions.
For young children, days are very long and they become very tired.

For Reception children, check with the teachers if your child is mature enough to take the bus.
Let them settle in school for a term before taking the afternoon bus.
The children stay 45 minutes longer at school, and they are very tired at the end of the school day.

For all Reception to year 3, notify bus@europaschool.uk of your child’s routine. Do not deviate from it apart from emergencies.
There is more flexibility from year 4 onward, when children are more mature.

In total we have now over 300 children taking the bus, so it is a very busy end of day.

Changes

For Reception to year 3, you must inform the school of any changes in the routine the day before the day of the change at the latest.
The bus list is done at lunchtime.
Do not just tell the teacher or leave a note, but fill in the online form found in a link at the bottom of the bus emails.
In case of an emergency after 12.30pm, do not use the form but call the school.

If there is any doubt, the child will kept at school.
